A firefighter frantically searches a home......... The distant whimper of a young girl pierces through a wall of smoke. He can hardly breathe and certainly can't see but he clings closer and closer to the floor inching his way towards the voice. Finally he sees the beam of lumber that lay trapping the girl, without second though he lifts the beam and by memory alone rushes out the house, her trembling body clinging to his shoulder he exits the building and lays her safely on the front lawn as the building collapses behind them. The remainder of his entire day is spent completing a health exam and finishing his reports of the fire/incident. It was a Friday he will never have back.
A Peace Officer sits outside a cabin........ Bullet sprays emerge wildly in every direction and the maniacally screams echo through the streets as the fugitive continues to pop shots at anybody and everybody he can see. Like hail beating down on a tin roof the officer watches as new beams of sunlight burst through the metal holes left in his vehicle from each new shot fired. Pinned down he tightens the grip on his firearm, returning fire only to suppress the fugitive long enough to allow fellow officers to take position. Hours upon Hours pass until the decision rings in on his radio. He is one of academy's best, he will be leading the squad into the structure to end the violence from this individual forever. He quickly sweeps the house and two quick rounds later he stand over the lifeless body that just a few hours earlier was stripping life from others. It is now Saturday, his friday, gone forever.
A guy sat at his computer watching and waiting, but doing nothing....
To some the sense of justice overshadows the sense of time. The needs of the people surrounding him mask over every clock and trivialize every calender. For Justice does not sleep nor does it wear a watch......
