Yea, you're awesome. And I'll keep crying about my 4x4 fields, which were planted with 3000 silver.

I hope that most of the people here complaining do know you don't have to have"level terrain to make a field :/

If you planted 3000 silver you are doing it wrong my friend.

I hope you know that most people weren't complaining about "needing" level terrain to plow fields. You're reading wrong :/

There are certain expectations when you can pay for digital content, "this is beta" is not a valid blanket justification when you have a pay store. I am not against having to adjust my defenses and homestead layout when things change, but to outright nuke all mine fields or even fields slightly overlapping without warning? I assume they didn't bother warning anyone to punish 1x1 abusers, but a lot of people are caught in the crossfire.

I've seen it said a few times on the forum that overlapping fields would be fixed at some point. And there has been a lot of talk about fields in mines being wrong though I'm not sure if one of the developers every weighed in on that before the patch. Still, you cannot farm underground in real life and even if this is a game, it still tries to be somewhat realistic. Everyone knew this was coming some day, and all it's done is put people who were abusing those bugs onto the same footing as those of us who resisted overlapping our fields or using our mine for farming.

I think the point of the post you quote can be found in bold (my emphasis).

A fair warning could have been 1 week notice by DEVS in ANNOUNCEMENTS just like stall owners got for those recent changes.

The difference here is that the farms were a bug fix that we have been told was a bug, that no one should have been using without expecting to log in any day and have it all gone. You already got a warning. The stalls were not bugged and jorbtar normally don't warn us of such changes, I guess they were just being nice.

Bug fixes should never require a warning. Any bug that players choose to abuse comes at its own risk.

Yep, the stall issue was a balancing act that just so happened to fix an exploit.

As far as the fields in the mine, it has been mentioned several times. I believe jorb has even chimed in on it, though I can't recall if that was publicly or the dev forums. A couple of us even recall it getting fixed at one point and then somehow showing back up after a server restart.

Am I the only one scratching my head because now that my home is no longer in darkness I now have a drain, yet when my home was in darkness there was no drain?

I understand what happened, I just don't understand the thought process behind it. I hope they took away the border message for the darkness now because there's no point for it anymore if the drain starts well into bright light.

I've been around since August and haven't seen Jorbtar mention it, nor did I experience any temp fix. Is it really so much that those of us not 1x1 abusing feel rather miffed at getting nuked without warning? Is it really so much that we would've liked a warning? We aren't nefarious bug abusers mad that we lost our toys. We are legitimate paying customers.

Straw man every time. Give me proof it was unintentional and my argument drops to "what's considered a bug needs to be advertised better".

EDIT: and no, deductions that it doesn't make sense does not constitute proof.
