I still would have used them if I was seriously playing. Being able to cram in even 4 fields in the place of one is enough to reduce fertilizer usage if you're just grinding out massive amounts of tier 1 crops for trade or consumption by new players. You just make sure you have enough seeds to replace a generation or two worth of work if/when they do get nuked (which, of course, they did). In that case, you don't deserve to have any tears because you planned for the eventual future by being intelligent in bug abusing.

Yea, you're awesome. And I'll keep crying about my 4x4 fields, which were planted with 3000 silver.

I hope that most of the people here complaining do know you don't have to have"level terrain to make a field :/

If you planted 3000 silver you are doing it wrong my friend.

Just thought that I would mention that March Hares seems much more common now. I assume that is an unintended side effect of the darkness change. I have never come across one before and today, 2 out 4 rabbits have turned... I didn't think it was that dark around me.

I don't like having to lose half a month of purity gains because I used a mine, its not as if spending weeks of digging out boulders is any easier; it is no where on par with 1x1 use. The advantage of less time building walls is, IMO, offset by how much time it takes to crack and dig out mine walls. I had never thought it was an exploit/bug since other buildings/actions were already restricted. 1x1 fix was obviously coming, but I don't remember seeing any declared intention of changing fields in mines. If they said they were going to change it months ago than I'm sorry I missed it, but I put money in this game and I don't think a few day warning before getting apocalypse'd is too much to ask for.

There are certain expectations when you can pay for digital content, "this is beta" is not a valid blanket justification when you have a pay store. I am not against having to adjust my defenses and homestead layout when things change, but to outright nuke all mine fields or even fields slightly overlapping without warning? I assume they didn't bother warning anyone to punish 1x1 abusers, but a lot of people are caught in the crossfire.

Chief would raid you anyway sooner or later when he would know about your 1x1 fields. But don't think that you're the only one who thought the "nuke" wouldn't be so destructive.
