You wouldn't trek for hours, the point is to encourage players to settle closer to each other and coexist peacefully. Every decent sized cluster would have it's own market.

As for security, I think this should do an OK job:

On town claim, of course, so they can't beeline through the walls without a waste claim.

The poll seems to indicate that people like the idea of an auction house

I honestly can't find anything wrong with this take on trading. Best suggestion I've heard on a replacement system.

Yes it is good idea, but only if there is balance in faction strength (no dominating faction), but right now it is impossible to not dominating faction to have such thing.

Soooo, auction house progress? The poll is clear. I've simply stopped playing because trading is so bad in this game. I'd really love to play and give you money like I have in the past, but with how trade is (still) currently set up I just can't seem to get motivated to even keep the game as an icon on my desktop. Hopefully something is being worked on :(

Time will tell I guess, Jorb doesn't like the idea of it but once we get even a moderate sized playerbase it'll be needed in a hurry

Trading is fine. I make tons of silver with little effort

I don't think it's going to get to that point without moving away from stalls. A lot of people cant make money because they don't have time to spam in Boston, especially new players, and all they did was make it even harder on new players to trade by raising the stall tax. Someone needs to talk some sense into 'Jorb' and get this ball rolling...
