There's SO much untapped potential in the starter towns

this could be the cash sink the dev's are looking for cause it's all pure entertainement.
i would pay real money for all those things, i'd never have to leave boston again.

Exactly. It adds a social element to the game that it desperately needs to balance the PVP that takes place

I'm all for this idea, fits into the world of 1600ish where we had board games and high risk gambling to pass the time.

set out a nice area with chess tables, poker tables inside a townhouse.

The idea of a spar area in nice also because it encourages people to train up their humours to "finally beat their friend" or whatever

well the sparring would go along way to helping pvp averse players get the hang of it.

Good way for hermits and newer people to safely learn to defend themselves seeing as how with the new raid system you'll need to fight or flee

This is actually a great idea, and it would really help retaining new players in the game, because you know how many give up after being robbed and killed without even having a chance of retaliating (mostly because they're unexperienced in combat)... Giving players the knowledge to defend themselves properly would even make it more more interesting when raiding (higher chances of others figting back), making it more alot more fun ;)

There's a whole thread on sparring. Keep the discussion about it there, please.

Poker games with silver will be unbalanced. People who dont know how to play the game properly will lose all their silver and maybe leave the game. While others that know how to play (like me) would get too much silver.
