On Jamestown darkness starts at x, -190 and keeps going north. Not sure how far because my stats are not high enough to let me explore it more :P In case you wonder, with 30 in blood, phlegm, YB and BB i was able to travel only from -190 (where the darkness starts) to -207 (at this point it started to drain but very slowly, 0.01 per minute or something). It gets darker and darker really fast.

Seems that the darkness is equally distant - if it starts at -100 it ends at +100, but may curve a little - it started sooner the further west I went on that alt.
Her biles are designed entirely for mapping (swimming if I need to, and wander): 30 Phlegm, 15 Blood, 10YB, 10BB.

I'm still having issues getting a lot of things to work on the map - overlays, markers and a ruler - but I think it may be a z-index issue. Once I have it sorted out and working it might be interesting to have an overlay showing where the darkness (or the drain, anyway) starts. Give newer players a good idea of what to avoid exploring?

I'm not sure if this is an issue for anyone else, but I haven't been able to load the world maps since the old link went down - both old and new links are still broken for me. It simply takes forever to load then tells me it couldn't connect to remote server.

I thought it was understood by most people that darkness starts in a gigantic circle around Boston. At the same longitude, you'll reach darkness a lot sooner if you're really far north, or if your really far south - at the same time you'd also postpone reaching darkness by a mile by being on the same latitude as Boston.

It was, but I don't know the distance it starts curving at. IE, how big the circle is, if that makes sense? I'm also not entirely sure which portion of Boston is considered "0, 0" internally by the game. I've got a mapping alt up north heading for the line directly north of Boston, but if I remember correctly, thats out in the ocean a bit.

Going to have to "borrow" a boat. :p

I have added more tiles to my dropbox. There's a new folder named Roanoke partials. I have to start sending bits and pieces as the space count is starting to decrease.

I have this same issue. gives me a connection timed out error. I was able to load the site up on a work pc through a vpn for some reason, but it just shows the window, and not the map. Someone else told me they could view it so I know the site wasn't down. Web proxies were able to bring the site up, but again just showed the menu's not the maps.

Nope, but thats whats serving up the tiles. Going to try something, PM incoming.

Bechorath, if you want you can try to load the maps locally, here is an HTML file to do so: http://www.speedyshare.com/AtTEW/map.rar

Let me know if it works.
