Currently "perspective" has been changed to ortographic projection which de facto is the lack of perspective. Something that is used for 2d games. I don't know any 3d game with adjustable camera which would use such projection. I have no idea why devs thought it would be good - it's unrealistic, uncomfortable and annoying. Why make 3d game and then remove perspective? :?:

I hope that it's just some temporary experiment

Not sure if I understand that correctly, but
The game is now by default played in a brand new isometric perspective the way God intended. It's awesome albeit not entirely finished. Check it!

should give us a hint?

Well as someone said it can be changed for your preff. if using Enders.

The line you quoted would imply that ortographic projection is just a beginning, a first step, and shows where the game would be heading.
I honestly hope that it's not here to stay

The new perspective is very annoying. I definitely won't be able to play without ender's now.

lets be honest though, who plays without enders anyway? freestyle cam is the ****. not to mention other enders features.

Honestly I think the scariest thing I realized the other day while waiting for enders to update was that default client doesn't show other players on the minimap. That is SCARY AS *****, and a very big problem for new players imo

True, would be nice to have other people on radar by default.
