They do indeed walk on beaches. You had bad luck. They're quite tiny.

Beaches and shallows. They're not über-common.

Anyone know the magic words to add them crabs to the radar?
I used to be a pilgrim like you. Then I took an Indian arrow in the head...

They are at the very least added to our default radar.

They walk like any other animal. Cept you can pick em up without fighting.

I mostly saw em in shallow water.

(We've used it selectively to avoid setting the precedent that everything should have an icon, I guess.)

They are on Ender's updater minimap too.

You need to smash them with a rock . It gives me one crab meat , one gnarly old crab shield and one crab claw.
