Well you're right about the stupid combat system, but its far from complicated and I don't see how it can be very difficult, fighting animals especially... fighting them mostly involves exchanging damage as they come to attack you. I defiantly wouldn't recommend fighting with the base 5 humours, I'd say at least 10 humours for fighting crickets and bunnies (which can easily be gained with mushroom and berries for recipes).

Not sure what you're getting at with the wartbite when you were 5, but these are giant crickets! :D

Also killed =/= Ko'ed, Just wait until JLo give animals the ability kill us  (I can only hope)

Crickets are tougher than rabbits. (maybe that doesn't make sense, but it's how it is)

A character with 5 in all humors and just self defense/small game hunting can kill a rabbit. When there's only 7 animals currently in the game, each one has to be a noticable increase in difficulty.

That having been said, if you are interested in killing animals, you should raise your yellow bile, and learn backyard pugilism. It doesn't take long to do and it massively increases your damage.

Crickets are perfectly doable with starting humours and punch alone. Just punch, then walk away till you see it following you, when it comes near exchange hits while you have guard on. You will win every time if your humours are full and you don't have imbalance from a previous fight when you attack.

I don't think players with starter humours have guard.

I think he was just giving an example of how easy it is to actually kill them. (Even though Self Defence was one of the first skills I bought).

If you don't have guard you can't actually aggro a cricket. And I had Small Game Hunting with 5 blood and 5 ybile.
