If you had been quiet, this wouldn't have happened. But it's too late.

Feeling left out peep?

I'd like to point out that by Ameba not paying the tribe a treaty payment, the tribe suffered a loss greater than the profit made from raiding him.

Such are the economics of war.

It's something you can't count in any currency you know, mate. That claim was but a trap for ya Tribe. Have you also picked those blackberries planted? Please tell me how much the tribe has earned from that? Or have you made any boards at that sawbuck? Oh and those 2 fields of 1-2% cabbage that weren't picked. How much did that benefit the Tribe? Are they fed now?

What's the upkeep on a claim of that size? How many months of payment did he avoid? How long will it take you to find his next claim? More than a month? Now add that all together.

I know it's rude to answer a question with a question but sometimes I like to prompt people to think for themselves.

He admitted to buying the 1,300 claim shortly after the new year. Lets call it January 2nd to give him the benefit of the doubt.

He then admits to "Charging it up" which lets just say was only 200 silver.

So he spent 1,500 silver for a claim that avoided our detection for 12 days.

He could have paid the Treaty of 300 silver for the month.

Instead he chose to spend 125s a day. Approx 10X the amount of money that the Treaty would have cost.

We can around and around with this but anybody who understands numbers understands that the cost of the Treaty is minimal compared to what you wager if you do not pay. You would have to avoid detection from the Tribe for approx 7-10 years before it would pencil out that defaulting your payment was smarter than the nominal amount it costs.

And now that money isn't in the game anymore. Most importantly, it's not in your pocket.

Yes but all the Bellpeppers in the base that he preserved for us by putting down a claim (therefore, not allowing the items to decay) are in our stalls and making us hundreds. The fact remains that if Ameba would have never rolled on this server we would not have as much $$ as we do now. And if he would have paid his treaty we would have less than we have because he didn't.
