this is looking a bit too redundant than the last one to me this time.

Sevenless wrote:I fought a fight that I knew was suicide on a 1600 hour old character in Haven in order to attempt to defend my friend's life when we were being sieged. I died an honourable death in combat, but I lost 4 months of work into that character. All of my villagers around me had died at some point in that world, and I was the only character who had survived from world generation. I had walked into a ten man teletubby ambush on the shores of Viridian City, I had fought off invaders who managed to take a key off the corpse of one of my villagers. I was our smith, our jeweler and main trade contact. It was a good life, but the loss was rather devastating to me because I put everything into a single character and had grown seriously attached to him. In the end he was buried with the greatest honours in our grave-yard. I hope my advice on this matter is heeded. Salem follows in the footsteps of Haven in being one of the most brutal and heart wrenching games I've ever heard of or played.
Your First Steps
At this point I could give you a couple lines of text before asking you to go read the Skills and Humours sections. But honestly, it's probably best if you head out and read those now before doing anything else. This will give you an idea of what to do as you wander out from boston, and will let you start to see how the mechanics work.
