Personal claims make the village defenses weaker, and the people that are stealing the town would most likely abolish the personal claims anyways. And no, it doesnt take a day to build up your authority if you got your **** together, more like an hour or two tops.
According to a couple of griefers, this is balanced:
A village of 10+ people gets stolen by a very small group of less than five raiders within the amount of time that the villagers are offline/asleep. Then the villagers have to all log on and coordinate, while being homeless and able to be summoned/instakilled essentially anywhere in the world, to attack the new bell that is most likely defended by the few fatasses that were able to break in and destroy their bell in the first place. Only then would they be able to fork over the cash to build a new bell, destroy all the old authority objects, and rebuild them, just so they can get back to repairing their defenses and rebuilding anything that was destroyed in the initial attack. Wait, don't these guys with real lives need to sleep? Yeah they do, then the nolife griefers will return and do it all over again just for the hell of it.
Village claims serve absolutely no purpose at the moment, infact they are actually weaker than a personal claim by giving free tresspass. You guys must be either blind or retarded if you think it is supposed to be this way.
This is the story of some poor folks who lost their town bell due to a bug where the bell can be destroyed by having it on a personal claim, even if the bell has plenty of authority.
