Ah this is exactly the reason I couldn't bring myself to buy furniture. Special pack clothing is one thing, my character can always log out, but thanksgiving furniture just screams raider bait.

You can blame Jorb & Loftar for making us test the new crime mechanics. ;)

Yes it's true, won't buy anything again from shop, just thought it was a nice gesture as a thanksgiving gift to my sister and wasn't aware it could be stolen =)

I think fluff items should not be stealable, or soon enough nobody will buy them anymore.
Only the most hardcore players who can defend them and you can't base a game's economy on that?

I'm fine with anything else being stolen, because that's the game.
But items that are just meant for looks and decoration?

If you want a game to succeed financially maybe some items from shop should not be able to be stolen, so noobs can have some decoration stuff too.
What I mean, I would buy those, but now I won't.

I'm sure Jorb would have preferred a sacrifice (purchase) and rewarded it with furniture for his church, but wotevs.

That's an option yes.

Not an option for those who prefer to play as a small group of friends and don't want to have to spend time on the politics and communication that comes with a bigger city.

Like I said, I don't mind we cannot defend ourselves vs bigger guys and that they can easily raid our city atm. It's all in the game.
We just continue building walls walls walls now, don't have anything interesting and hope eventually it's not worth it anymore for them.

Today they came back and stole the chairs btw. Table gone, chairs gone.

**** happens. But no reason for me ever again to buy fluff items, since they seem a raiders magnet.
And I don't think that's best for the game. That's my point.

I mean look at games like Guildwars2, LoL or Dota2.
These games are free to play as well, but they make huge profits from selling fluff items to noobs. Items purely for looks and decoration, not anything that changes gameplay.
Salem won't have that. Not if it's like it's now.
