One minute per your maximum humour. A new player is thus getting a new craving every 5-10 minutes. A 500+ humour character would be getting one twice a day. I just peaked at your stats. You have a ways to go :).

What specifically about alloying?

Its gone through countless iterations due to people always finding a new and improved way to mess with the smelters. Whats the current nonsense with it though?

Specifically that it does not work.
Every fourth round gives 2 bars. (Yes, ive tried different ratios ore to lime and its the same ). If it works, it has a VERY small bonus, which is unfair since my set is close to a thousand alloying.
And i havent tested it today, just woke up.

As i recall, people were lighting smelters empty smelters and exploiting the stackable alloying bonus on it.
Thats why you 'disabled' alloying bonus as i remember.

Well yes I remember correcting that issue. But I didn't disable alloying. I just nerfed it. Those who use it against those who don't should still have a bonus. I.E. more often then not they would get an extra bar than somebody not wearing a set. Has anybody done mass-testing to believe this is not the case? And does this mean there is no widely known shennanigans with smelters again?
