How do deal with low temperatures

Hi there,

I've recently created a new character and quickly stumbled into a problem: temperatures.
The area on which I set up my base is currently suffering from low temperatures, which makes me unable to regain humors and consequently incapable of placing structures and stuff (basically, it stops me from playing the game).
I've tried standing near a fire - which proved to be inefficient in fighting the cold.
I've basically ran out of ideas, so I humbly ask you, can you help me?

Make some clothes! You can warm up in the barn that is west of the merchant's square in the main town/providence (merchants square is north of where you spawn into providence). Once you're warmed up you can gather some fibre by collecting reeds to make clothes.

alternatively, you can also start a new character and have it play the tutorial (where it is never cold). Have that character gather reeds for some reed pajamas which will keep you warm.

Jute clothes can also be made with reeds. Crowfeather cape is another extremely easy warm clothing to make.
