The Independent was bought by Alexander Lebedev in 2010. That aside, I'm also seeing the
former MI6 agent they seem to have gotten a lot of their info from was working for an opponent of Trump and then the Democratic Party. It's a tad suspicious.
Yes, it says he called the ambassador on Dec 19 to express condolences regarding the assassination of the Russian ambassador to Turkey, on Dec 25 to wish him Merry Christmas, and on Dec 28 to express condolences over a Russian plane crash and to set up a call between Trump and Putin after the inauguration. That sounds to me like the guy's trying to do his job.
Rachel Maddow can't really be trusted in anything and all she's got here is that there was a closed-door meeting that the participants weren't supposed to talk about, but said participants chose to mention that they really hate FBI direct Comey when asked about the meeting. Now, whether Comey had anything to do with the meeting, we know not. "I can't say anything, but I sure hate Comey, draw your own conclusions", isn't the sort of statement I want to draw conclusions about.
The Daily Mail is a satirical paper that sometimes prints the truth, and sometimes just goes for shock value and readership. This particular article mentions no names, just says 'American officials' have told Israel not to share any intelligence with Trump once he is in office. Now, keeping in mind all the horrible things Obama has been doing as fast as he can to screw Trump over as much as possible before he leaves, it wouldn't surprise me if he had had someone say this to Israel, but it's more a reflection on Obama than it is on Trump.
I'd like to ask the Trump fans out there what exactly is to much for you to keep supporting him?
As for this question, it really highlights the liberal penchant for putting people into categories, that anyone who voted for Trump must be a Trump fan who will support him unceasingly in everything. I have hopes he'll do okay as president, but he's already done a few things I find a bit iffy and a few things I don't like, like they way he dealt with Carrier. That was a far too socialist type move and it just goes to show that Trump has some pretty liberal leanings; he was a Democrat until a few years ago. I intend to give him a fair chance, he isn't even president yet so there's no information to use to judge how well he is doing as president and whether or not I will be voting for him next election (which is what I assume you mean by 'support'); almost all of what has been reported about him by the media has been overexaggerated, has used language meant to mislead and inflame, and has been overall just ridiculous to the point where I seriously have a hard time believing any of it at all anymore. Which is very upsetting because I would like to be able to make informed decisions about current events and I feel like I'm not being informed.
Actually, the most disturbing thing I've heard recently in relation to Trump was this quote from Senate Minority Leader Charles Shumer:
“Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you. So even for a practical, supposedly hard-nosed businessman, he’s being really dumb to do this.”
He was talking about a Trump tweet: "The 'Intelligence' briefing on so-called 'Russian hacking' was delayed until Friday, perhaps more time needed to build a case. Very strange!"
Now, Trump's tweets are mostly idiotic and someone should change his damn account password, but no matter what he said I really don't think it's a good thing for it to be implied that such powerful government agencies as the ones that make up the intelligence community might try to undermine our actual president.
This is something to be upset about.
