Same, I get a headache after trying to see where I am and where I want to go in vanilla. I end up going in spirals.

Look at upper left corner of forum, click Account button there (or login), click 'Launch the Client' - that is the default one.

You must be confused about what people are referring to, then. Vanilla is the default client.
