Anyways.. Its like the updater is not working and super slow. I get timeout when trying to login.. :(

The http is just added here by Forumsoftware... it turns www.xxx.xxx Addresses into links.
The Wiki Description is the right one.

Likely a mistake on one of the lines of your host file if you post it I can double check that it looks correct.
It should look something like this: http://pastebin.com/FnYd2Lt0

What error message you get?
Can you open an command line and try

Code: Select all
ping game.salemthegame.com

There should be now an resolve of the name.
If not try this in command line:

Code: Select all
ipconfig /flushdns

and try again.

The default client is saying "Error: Cache must be enabled for nativelib or installer-desc support"

I put both of those into command, not sure what i am looking for on that. ping shows 4 packets sent and 4 received.

Default client won't even launch at all. I can get latikai's up but it says cannot connect.

To check: Open Java settings. Clisk the Settings button under "Temporary Internet Files" on the General tab. Make sure the check box "Keep temporary files on my computer" is marked. (Everything else will grey out if it isn't.)

viewtopic.php?f=10&t=9749

Try that, solution to a similar problem from way back.
