Yeah, tbh i really dislike Boston, but I don't think they would change that :(.

And I'd rather have wagons than fast travel :)

That would actually kill trade. Most people would simply give up on trading, because effort and risk required to transport goods would outweight any profits from the trade itself.

That's why I said "effort and risk", not "time". Fast travel costing silver lowers the value of trade. Even more if you want to trade goods in bulk, requiring couple of travels. It's even worse for newbies who barely have silver for nails, and now you want them to pay extra
And risk because you have to come to someone's village where you can be murdered.

Ugh, that just makes me think of trade alts porting to villages in H&H, which frankly sucked. After playing H&H for 2 worlds, I love the stalls in the cities. I do wish there was a better way to trade person to person without having to stick it in a barrel which a third person can ninja stuff out of. When you think about it, a trade window that open between the two people trading would make more sense. If you were meeting someone in the real world to trade something, you would just hand things directly to each other. You wouldn't say, "Hold on, let me put my money in this barrel here, you take it out and then put the items that I want in there for me to take."

Disagree. Alt porting surely sucked, though I liked the idea of actual travelling to, say, AfO market. It was rather dangerous, you might have been massacred by raiders awaiting right next to the trade centre, but still there was something (IMO) that made this game great. Role playing sense, if you wish.

Now trading in Boston is much more secure and, whats worse, current system allows anybody trade with anybody else living on a whole map. Why then building a relationship with neighbors, if you may just post on a forum and sell your stuff to a guy from another corner of the world map? I think that trade should be harder and require more determination, than now.

How would that make us create world and community? What exactly would bring people together?

if there was no where else to trade other then the ****** stalls we would need to be able to make our own stalls and make our own market towns and trade routes
