Oiling trough uses only 10 liters of oil per one [full, 8 boards] session.
In other words, it holds enough oil for 4 full oiling sessions inside.

[I may be even mistaken and it's only 8 liters per session which makes the full trough enough for 5 sessions, can't recall]

Then I will probably abuse my troughs all I want till they get fixed, as we're speaking I'm oiling my boards for the third time without refilling the trough.

Given that moldy boards take twice as much wood as blocks, it would be nice if they split into four wood choppings instead of two.

These things suck. Thanks for cockblocking everyone who hadn't built houses and chests yet with a poorly explained and highly random, yet absolutely essential, construction material.

Calm down.
Normal houses and chests still can be built using fresh boards. New boards are used for new constructions like shed, new homes and plank wall.
