I don't have windows and there seem to be no files, just the updater that I can open or view info. I can "open with" but it won't open TextEdit because of the type of file it is? I think it was text edit? I am so friggin kicking myself for deleted the old one...how stupid I am!

Are you on linux? You ought to find the Salem folder in your home folder then. Perhaps you're looking at the .salem folder? That's for the official client.

I honestly have no clue if I'm on Linux. I did find a Salem folder in my Home folder though...thanks for that info. However, I looked through it and did not find radar.

I setup a friend on the new updater.jnlp link and when he did that he said his character was glowing red. Anyone ever run into that? I didn't have that problem once I changed to the new link. Any suggestions on how to fix that?

If he goes back to the older salem2.jnlp link then that work but he has lock up issues. He is using Java 7 for what it is worth.

You glow red when you have the "Blink radar objects" enabled in the options menu and are in range of any forageable. Maybe he turned it on..?

Is there any way to make a reconstructed images/maps from the minimap tile files without doing it manually?

Apart from using http://code.google.com/p/salem-map-tool/wiki/Howto - not that I have found. The program is pretty easy to use, though.
