Ever wonder if its a myth? Perhaps JC just said you could so the player base would trust each other less.

I get your point Dallane... but it's not, currently, like anyone can become one on their own- no matter how long they toil w/o the help of an existing Witch.

Becoming a witch has nothing to do with learning how to play, though. And it doesn't have to be someone who was there when witches were introduced. You can get a doll from any witch at all or from someone who got a doll from a witch and sold it on.
