Looking for a Witch Mentor

Postby gustavohvg » Sat Mar 05, 2016 1:29 am

I have an alt and I think I would like to discover the witchcraft side of the game. Can any knowable witch help me on this? I already have a doll and food to get good humours, need only info and I could be a good ally in a few weeks.

From what I have read, witchcraft is meant to be very secretive and hard to learn. I also read on the wiki that if the mechanics become easy to learn JC would change them immediately. I really hope it isn't as simple to get started and learn as posting a request in the hob section as I kind of liked the way its shrouded in mystery and full of secrets.

The intention is very much that by some means or the other, you put out feelers and find someone to apprentice you, while also you know, grudgingly or not so grudgingly actually teaching you a thing or two inbetween the customary drudgework and profiteering saddled on apprentices. Or they might simply exploit you, and/or murder you and commit crimes against God with your body for some evil ritual or potion.

Like how Darwoth may or may not be doing with his "Long Pig for Real Pig" program. I don't discount the possibility that he might really be honest here, there are normally mean or cutthroat players of this game and other games like them that can be very honorable and charitable.

Still, the proof is in the pudding. We'll yet see whether Darwoth will feast on both kinds of Pig himself, or whether he will generously provide Pigs and stuff as part of the deal. Only when the appointed time has come and gone and people are happily situating their livestock in Providence (or not) will we know the truth of it.

In this game anything "really hard to learn" means that you need a veteran spreading the info on a 1 by 1 basis =P

This isn't true at all unless you just want everything handed to you.
