I have no intentions of running this town. I plan on letting the members of the newly free town decide how to go forward.

This situation are very similar for this with Bodzio vs Mary.
But in this situation people let use yourself by someone, if You guys not accept it just say it and leave this "bad town".
But better is stole someone's work. Nabish behavior
And I still don't understand why Austen unkined me and try pretend to be someone other lol

If you don't like a town, leave. Whatever work you think you put into it, the leaders put more.

I feel bad for these towns that take in people that turn on them.

These bored hermits that don't even know how to farm, or can't understand that joining someone's town means following their rules.

You learned more of the game, met new people, played under a safer environment that was only tainted by your own aggression.

You clearly have no idea whats going on. Leaders do not own the town, the people do.

I first started Salem in late November of 2015, as a new fling. I lived alone, as a hermit, for the better part of a month and a half, trying to learn the game. I was approached on the forums by Aerow, a member of a town called Elysburg. He noted my interest to learn from older players, and put me in contact with Spencer (a.k.a Mr. Talmidge). I was soon put "on trial" as they called it, to get to know me before I was voted into town. All was well at first, and I was accepted. I never had the intentions of what happened to become. I lived in Elysburg, later renamed Newcastle, for months, attempting to learn and grown, but finding myself hampered by "rules". Aerow was my initial mayor, and as he was active sparingly, he allowed Spencer to help him lead. I feel that this is when Spencer began using the town to further his own needs. I was placed in charge of tasks to fulfill, and if I was not like clockwork on it, I was questioned regularly as to why. Neiro joined the town after I had been around a while. He soon caught on to how things were run, not by a council as told, but by Spencer's desire. I tried to learn farming, but he limited me so much on where I could try and how and when. Couldn't get in the way of his beloved cotton fields or his money. Spencer used the town to make clothing for his store and sell to make money, which he claimed was for the better of the town. I never once received anything for the help I did getting things for him to slot or make. I tried to hold conversations about the way I felt things were, but Spencer turned these back on me, saying I was quick to get angry and assume, and constantly threatened my stature in town. After a while of this, things got heated to the point where nothing was able to be discussed anymore, because it was instant arguments from both sides. What Neiro and I chose to do, was not for self-improvement or to raid, but rather to free a town from a leader who was corrupt, who used his town members for his own gain, and was hard headed. It was intended to hopefully teach him to appreciate those around him, not take from them through hard work for no return, and to give this town's other members a chance at a fresh start. Few in the town support Spencer still, but we have many that are still around, and ready to move forward with this town to start anew.

That is my side of the story, and I'm sure Spencer has his. People asked, so I figured I would tell it how I felt.

If you want to know more, feel free to ask. All I ask is that you hear my side before you so quickly judge.

Sincerely,
Austen.

lol, there is another guy callin himself Spencer like i do?

Why join or make a town if you can't be civil and work out your issues without stabbing someone in the back? If things truly were as bad as you say, IE, slavery work for the town, you do realize everyone has to pitch in right? Granted, if you're never benefited from it I see the issue, you two should've left if you didn't like how that town was. Instead you saw an opportunity to murder the leader and take over under the guise of "freeing" the town, but I doubt that 'noble' intention was the primary one and not just a side thought you decided to throw out later to justify it. Now if you say you didn't want to leave because you didn't want to lose your stuff, don't lump those still living in the town as people who support you, i'm sure they don't want to ditch their things anymore than you wanted to when the problem first popped up.

I don't think either group is blameless, but at least the town leader wasn't running around murdering people he disagreed with.
