From what I've heard in IRC, they can no longer be built down there.

I wonder if ground type matters? I built mine on forest floor, which is perhaps considered somewhat damp and fungussy... darnokpl did you put yours on pavement or something?

I built my first batch in the mine (and got my best results there) but tried to put new ones in today and it won't let me. :/ No more mine timber.

Nope, it wasn't even terraformed and it was forest like in your case,
but it would be more interesting if biome type would matter :)

No fields in forests please :D

5 diagonal tiles from a tree, 5 straight tiles from drying frame 40/40(on dirt tiles). Other pile was only around 3 straight tiles from a tree and received aprox 14 dry boards.

I also have the feeling that a distance of 6 tiles is enough. Maybe only straight North/West/East/South Objects are relevant....?

Anyone build that Shed yet? Let us know how it works!

I got 3 Planed Boards missing in the first run and Oiling Boards fails that often, suks hardly!

If anyone's keeping numbers, first round of oiling resulted in 5 oiled boards and 3 warped. It took 5 points per board from trough fuel, which I believe means 2l of oil per board.

I got ~50-60% Oiled Boards, not more. Since H&N doesn´t count it must be random. But i think 50% is too less for this long production cycle!

At least u loose Boards while the Pile isn´t be placed properly, then u loose Boards while u plain them (even with H&N above 100 u loose a lot) and then u get 50% Oiled Boards. Sounds a bit hard all in all!
