Im playing the game like many others, and like many others have paid more than I usually would for a game.
That being said however, knowing how new features work is important if you don't want to start pissing people off especially when they have to wait 5 days only to realise that because a feature was not explained properly, they have wasted a lot time over it.
I'm not here to spend a month fine tuning how best to dry boards, I don't buy the 'figuring out' part either, once its has been figured out it will be put on the wiki and everyone will know, so it doesn't make a blind bit of difference.
Well at least you can figure out, that this game isn´t your style, maybe?
There are so many games on the market, that feel like a Tutorial from beginning to the end. Where any Box, Window, Questhelper tells u what to do next, and u only have to act like a bot. This game is the total opposite. I personally would love to see the Wiki going down forever, cuz it takes all the fun of exploring the mechanics away for the new players.
You spawn inside the game without any knowledge about what u can do and what will happen next. And u have to figure out all the given options by yourself and just play it your style and not the bot-style. And the biggest part of the game is about this "figuring out" thing. How to build your base more efficient, how to defend yourself and your stuff. How to grind purity in all the directions and even: How to fukin build up the Piles optimal. If you dont trial and error, but play how a written guide tells u, you will get bored after few days, cuz there is nothing left to do.
This is a way to replace endless repeating endgamecontent with tricky figuring out a crafting system. I like it, if u don´t, don´t play it!
