it's always been like that.
Use the timers in the custom clients to keep track of how long there is left for your pumpkins.

How long has the server been down. I had just planted my fields with cotton on the 4th and was going to check them just a bit ago thinking that they would be about ready to harvest.

the first post about it is typically a good indication ... that would make it about a 6 hour down time so far.

I'll be shooting the present off in the next patch. I didn't feel good sending out tiny pocket watches like last time as that saturated a market that shouldn't have otherwise been saturated. There will now be a unique gift for server downtime.
