Pile placement? Could you elaborate a bit on that? Is it civilized/uncivilized area - related [more/less sun]?

They aren't supposed to be placed near other objects. It says right on the build option.

Do other actual wood piles count as these objects or not? What if places near fires, will they burn? ¦]

They do, and mold from one pile might contaminate other piles.

We did consider that. ¦]

EDIT: And to make it clear, Hammer & Nail is not relevant in the drying process.

Wait, what? I only got 16 dry boards out of three piles, and my H&N is 65. That is a huge difference, can't just be bad luck. Are you sure you didn't somehow get the algorithms reversed or something pertaining to the ratio of dry:moldy boards and H&N proficiency?

EDIT: nvm, I didn't see the tooltip about pile placement, and I stacked mine all practically on top of each other so now they are all moldy and worthless! Guess I'll just have to wait another week until I can start building stuff again :D

More likely you build your piles right next to each other and had a sever case of mold cross contamination.

Here is my question. Can mold from the piles have an effect on anything else than other piles and if so what that effect is?

How close is too close then for the risk of contamination and a mould epidemic? 1, 2, 3+ 'tiles'? Say a fireplace represents a measurement of one tile.

It is part the fun of course, but to make the biggest content update since turkeys were introduced and then making us wait over 5 days knowing nothing that is just cruel... you could have written a bit more about the houses and sheds....

[begins to cry from frustration]

Hmm. I hadn't thought of that. ¦]
