In reality, what person would stock CLOTH in an outdoors stockbin ?

Could i suggest a 2nd kind of stockbin that can only be build inside and make it so the current stock bin can only be built outside, and these stock bins store different kinds of materials from its outdoors counterparts ? Lets try and keep it reasonable ?

Also i would really love it if we could pick up coal directly from a stock bin using a Coal bucket**

This bucket made from 2 Wrought iron, when picked up and used on a stock bin holding coal, fills the bucket (15 coal), and if holding the right key (alt or shift or control, i forget which), with each click allows you to fill multipul buckets. You can then use the bucket on furnaces / bloomerys to fill them.

This would make a great addition to the metal industry.

but this could be abused to inspaspam full braziers, gotta take them out of this then.

also JC can we DISABLE the 5$ shop cornucopia from going into stockbins? i lost one and ran around for 1h guessing where it is then bought a new pack and noticed it goes into stockbins so i must have accidentally put it in..

Who gives a **** about the speed it takes to fill braziers ? If you are unable to refill your braziers why under attack and take your sweet arse time about it in the process, your base design is ******.

All the item does it turns 15 shift clicks into a single shift click, for the cost of materials. So saving around 3-4 seconds each time. Screw it, make it cost 2 steel then.

Better go cry to JC more how you need everything inside stockbins.

EDIT: On that note, outdoors stockbins should Freeze during cold snap, getting covered in ice and making them unuseable. To use an outdoor stockbin during cold snap, you need to defrost it by making a fire next to it and letting it burn for 15mins. The stockbin then becomes defrosted for 12-24hours, untill it refreezes.

Ahw. Right. Stockbins are for durable material.
*teardrop*

Well... it's a weird thing, as it is now. It could be an idea to switch the cloth stockbin into something that can actually stay outside, if there's something left.

I wanna throw a question here.
Why cupboards are so expensive? (the glass panes)
Fulfill a house with chests instead of cupboard is way more better, but also really weird. Could really be that players buy store items to have cupboards? I find it hard to imagine, so i wonder if is a jorbtar refudo or if it have some fashinatic aspect that i can't see.
As always, i ask but i don't own the right for an answer, it's just curiosity. I will slowly win my glass war. :3

It's now 8 am, I was on about 6 hrs. Over that time, the "spawn rate" and/or the intrusive sounds, seems completely in balance now (it matches the perceived levels of the other elements of the game, from MY perspective).

I had misunderstood what 600% upkeep means. I will have to test to see if all upkeep over 100% only lasts ONE PLANTING. Now it becomes a major nuisance, but manageable, if somehow many fields became "crow-infected" while I was logged out or afk or something.

90% of my objections to the CROW MECHANIC seem to have been addressed, and fixed. I like the sounds and animations, and the basic way it works. I still object to the obvious "pay to win" (it seems MORE than mere convenience), of buying the "harvest pack. I would lobby for a TEMPORARY SCARECROW. Perhaps one that covered a 2x2 (4 fields), made from a wooden handle, a nail, 2 hay, and 4 rags, lasting 7 days. (7 days covers one growing cycle of most crops)

Additionally, to integrate crows into the game, (admittedly low priority), there should be a way to kill a crow, and then pluck it (feathers useable by those studying the dark powers), and then the crow can be baked in an oven like a turkey (stuffed with .05 kg oatmeal?). The finished baked crow, can then optionally be baked into a pie, a bit more heal/gobble level than a humble meat pie. (The crow taking on the purity of the oatmeal, the pie taking on the purity of the flour in the rested pie dough, plus the crow itself). A crow should have about the same chance against a snake as a rabbit, and between rabbit and crow, it should be a 50-50 chance. (A crow should automatically remove/despawn any crickets within 5 tiles)

...these were my thoughts on it. I withdraw MOST of my objectinos to the crow mechanic, as it seems pretty much in balance, and much less of a grind, or NEW HOUSEKEEPING CHORE.

JohnCarver wrote:*Playing with baby animals is now significantly more effective. However, the amount of Temperment lowered is still a factor by his genetic ornery levels (red Bar). As such with a high red bar the increase will be less noticeable
*Players now Passively gain 20 Flora and Fauna when playing with baby animals.

On these I wanted to add :
- I'm not sure it's "WAI" but low-alt without the husbandry skill (sheep herding , cattle ranching ...) can actually play with baby animals and lower the temperament.
- This crappy alt played with the following lamb once , and make the Temperament drop from 39 to 3 . Seems around three times better than previous "playing" with the same red-bar :

I see crows far less as a 'chore' so much as they are an additional variable and metric to the game to make sure you are alert and paying attention to what is happening in and around your base. Not just drone-ing along without a care in the world simply because you are behind your own walls.

So?? Am I getting my Falcons soon? Seeing how I suggested crows sometime ago?

Or how about some Indian totems since we got crab on a stick.

I'm not quite sure what you're saying here, but do you think that glass is a store item? It's a pretty cheap item you can buy in the NPC stall or you can make it yourself from sand and stuff if you have the right skillset.

This seems reasonable with the way coal is being used, however, that would require me to completely redefine the way coal is done, or make it a 'substance' that can then be held in only one kind of bucket, and when emptying the bucket through another method does it then spit out 15 inventory objects again? Changing an item from an inventory object, to a substance, and back again should be avoided at all costs and I would wager is not 'worth it' for edge case convenience issues.

I assume you mean compost bin. And no, I very much like that players can throw their RL money into a compost bin :). If it were easily possible for me to let you input your credit card into Salem, then right click your credit card on the compost bin, each time processing $5.00 transaction to me and simultaneously adding 1.0 or 2.0 to the compost bin I would most certainly implement it. ¦]

Well hmmm... When I Gate out what an "Alt" can do I do by default gate out what a 'new fresh friend who downloaded the game' can do for you as well. It was the intention that 'newer' players can provide at least some minor help in this arena. "Hey guys what can I do to help the team?". "Well you can go play with the pigs for 30 minutes". That interaction still makes me chuckle. The question to me is if it is worth it creating a skill-gate at lower levels for the simple act of playing with animals, and the more I think about it the more I think that is not necessary given that the phlegm cost does make it so people completely fresh off the boat must advance their characters at least some before playing with animals.
