Players Quest

I would like to suggest you an awesome idea from Xsyon MMO.

That game has a quest system made by players, where you can set a quest on your claim asking for some materials and setting a reward as well.

It would be very nice to see that feature on Salem....maybe with a sort of mail box that you can put outside your claim and linked to a box inside your claim where you can put the reward....everyplayer can join your quest, for example i could want 1000 stone and setting a Teddy Bear as reward for the first player that bring me 1000 stone.

In my opionion this is an awesome feature, let me know what do you think about. Cheers

P.S. Sorry for my english i hope you can understand...if you cannot let me know and i'll try to explain me better. Bye

I mean...the quest mailbox would need to be on a PClaim or it would be undefended/decay on unclaimed land(people could just see it and think, I'll just destroy this guys mailbox, alot of roaming raiders would just do that just because) and if its on a claim they would need to commit trespassing on the PClaim to read it. If this were added to the town on a Townboard then sure. It really is just an alternative to posting in the trade forums at this point though and if it was too much like an auction house the devs don't really want that. (Lastly, no one ones to traverse the world just to make a trade if making a mailbox require to be at that persons claim, people would rather just port to town to trade, which is why I made the townboard suggestion, more info about an alternative below)

I for one wouldn't mind something like this but the board/mailbox should require the player to spend a bit of money to post on the board and would manually need to remove it themselves after just trading with the person in town. Unless of course it works like putting items into a sign post.

Putting silver as a reward or requiring silver could be disabled for this sort of thing so its not like a stall but its own kind of niche trading device.

I cannot understand exactly what you mean....however yes, the mail box could work on providence too....i said outside the claim to underline the fact that everyone can have access to it....there are some issues involved, i know...but mine it's just a suggestion....devs then could think how it should work in this game...in my opinion a quest feature made by players could be an awesome add to the game,,,to increase cooperation between players that are not friends, too.

P.S. It could even be a building (mail office) in Providence where every players can set one quest each with the reward for the quest. Maybe there could even be a tax system for who made the quest....in my mind this feature could add much more deep to the game, where players can decide if being the guy who work at the quests (hand work) or be the guy who organize the society setting quest and reward...a sort of hierarchy. I hope you can understand what i mean XD.

I'm sure this has been suggested before, but maybe if the player stalls worked somewhat like the NPC stall where you can both buy and sell but the player owning the stall chooses what they're willing to buy?

The interface for that would probably be pretty tricky though, and the benefit compared to the already existing Trade-Wind reputation driven system seems marginal.

Yep also something like that, but you have to own a stall in that case.... i mean more something that allow every player to barter items, not for cash, also but not only for cash....
