You know, greenhouses aren't really for storing things.

Yeah, something for fields/quicker growing pots would make more sense. Like an actual greenhouse.

id like the idea of a greenhouse that speeds up potted plant growth, would be interesting if the parameters of the greenhouse were expandable like a pclaim with the more glass and resources you put into it ( 1 - 2 glass per tile), giving the bonus to all the pots under the "shade" of it.

it would also be nice if we could build racks inside the greenhouse to place pots in a e.g. 7x7 grid, and still be able to plant in them. so, you right-click on the rack to open it, and you see 49 pots you can access for planting. that would make things go faster, as you could shift-right-click humus and water on all of them while the rack is open.

I think you could plant fruit trees inside of it, if it was large enough. they definitely have greenhouses large enough to house trees. It could be that there is a size threshold you have to pass, adding on to the greenhouse as an expandable building idea.

beehives and butterfly conservatories could also work better indoors, since it's a confined space.

Maybe there could be some sort of more complex form of maintenance/upkeep involved to offset the benefits, eg:

In the context menu for the greenhouse it displays the current humidity which you have to add more water to in order to raise, if you raise it too high then it can negatively affect crops but there could be a "sweet spot" of 30-70% across the humidity spectrum where plants gain slight benefit, and significant benefit in the 45-55% range.

Different types of plants require different ranges across the humidity spectrum, requiring the most devout gardener to build many separate greenhouses and meticulously keep track of each of their humidity levels.

Seasons could affect how quickly humidity drops and how much water it takes to raise it.

all I see happening with a greenhouse is JC making it so potted plants won't grow during coldsnaps, and him not giving any added benefits other than consistent planting (which he would be taking away first to give back, so no real gain there)
plz no

Sounds like a good idea.

Belgear speaks the truth and yet, I woudn't be extremely against it.
