The reward for the witch who ends the server will be a permanent statue in Providence, which is actually more visible than a 'brand on an account'.

Really?

And how does this encourage new player to play the Expedition? Is there are route to witchcraft that's not available on the Main server?

You aren't helping the argument... sealing it though... quite well!

Oh- and it my earlier argument- it's great every ***** newbie can read this... and everything else that's ever been suggested, said, stated, posted about the game to this date.

Tell you again- Forums need to be WIPED...you didn't reset the game when you transitioned from Beta to Launched... but you really need to do it for forums...

3) If you do it right, you can actually make your new main on Popham, I already have honestly.

4) The grind does suck trying to build up sets from scratch, not going to lie.

5) A shop skull is ridiculously cheap and I can't believe people still get the 375 for it the hard way. Kudos to Claeyt who just did, but all those murder alts I think are shop skulls. Popham have murder on the second day IIRC.

1) My idea was that you could transfer the unique items back to Providence via storing them in a townbell for an extended period of time. The idea is to increase playerbase by having people farm unique items on the expedition server, and to increase the attractiveness of raiding, not simply to have unique items for the sake of unique items.
3) You can make your new main on Popham, but many players have highly developed mains on Providence already and don't want to.
5) Ok, but a store item for a throwaway murder alt on an expedition server seems a bit off. I guess JC has to pay the bills somehow though.

Yes, there was a series of clues written on signs that were put in a month or so after the server started and were dev protected for a few months until we were sure there were at least enough witches for one of them to have a good chance of ending the server. The signs are still there, though I don't know how many are still unclaimed. Players who don't want to purchase any hats had ample time to take that route though. Now, obviously, there is also still the hat route and possibly the clue route.

I'm really not sure what you're complaining about or why you didn't know this considering how many threads there are about it. A result of not wiping the forums.

There's also the fact that you have to play on Popham to get access to the animals on Providence. They likely will take quite a while to spread once they do arrive there. And maybe we'll tally who all helped build the ark and only let those players bring animals back according to what they built. Maybe not though; if we did, Darwoth would just build the rest of it and kill everyone else.

We do regret that John has had so little time to do anything here lately and wasn't able to do all he wanted on Popham to get it really going. Perhaps we can find something to add to help things along if you have a good idea.

Before server start I whined about the lack of new content. It basicly came to the conclustion that, besides animals which should be an universal update in the longer run, therefore not counted. Popham, the server where everyone anticipated on only contained for a couple days worth devolopment, only statues and cannons were semi-new.

For me and many of my friends it has resulted in burn-outs. Besides it gave retards like Darwoth, who didn't even tried Popham, the perception to be someone on Providence with no resistance as he for example was very used to, just like Jamestown. It sadly unbalanced Providence, untill today many vets have not returned to the game due to Popham's failure.

ROFL...maybe those top peeps per prof can help you there... since that post and names were assigned; I really haven't anything come of it. Is it really just another BS title for top performers... or will they produce results too?

They haven't been assigned yet. And if they're making development suggestions on a private board, you wouldn't see anything from it until it showed up in game months later. Even then you wouldn't necessarily know it was them that came up with it instead of John.

PS: Popham rules.

John really wants to pick them himself from the list, but he hasn't had time to do even that, else they would have been picked some time ago. :(

Last I heard meow and JC haven't been able to go over the people who applied.

Most of the suggestions made in the 33 come into the game very quickly. Tickling and lasso are a prime example.

ie- very little to nothing... thanks for sharing.

Do you have anything of substance to share? No... well I wont' share the very real vulgar comment your pathetic comment deserves... but I'm sure you can fill in the blanks... #TF(

I tossing my hat in with the others who think this is an elaborate excuse.

Fact is if the game was hopping (population on rise) Dev would be all over it. Lack of attention is on par with lack of participation; yet... ever leads to that very end. Vets want no participation... (they're dying) but better to stay King as long as they can... US has a dying population...seriously Srs... how long could you stay on top between dialysis when there are 100's more about to join your ranks?

This is an old farts game... there's no room for newbie's...(to the genre... not just age)... that's how I'm beginning to think.

Wait- kinda hope John's not one of those aging, dying folks... who knows...>!

Then again- who will pick up the pieces when he's 'gone???
