List of random season ideas

since I was going on about this in another thread, thought I may as well make a list of ideas for potential season expansion. Since we already have "everbloom" and "cold snap", which are the equivolent of spring and fall, I think we should also have a summer and winter.

Zenith - the "summer" season.

-Garden pots mature at a faster rate, and can give more produce when you harvest them.
-Compost bins, turkey coops & fish traps function at a faster rate. Crops & trees also grow faster.
-timber rattlers & Quetzalcoatls are more active.
-forageables of all kinds are more plentiful
-Finery forges & cementation furnaces heat up faster & take less fuel to upkeep
-Braziers & torchposts consume less ammo & are slightly more powerful

Frostfall - the "winter" season.

-Snow biome forageables can be found anywhere on the map
-last much longer
-bears do not spawn, like in cold snap.
-Timber rattlers & Quetzalcoatls do not spawn.
-crops grow at a slower rate
-blistersteel bars cool at a much faster rate
-special fish are only found during this season
-forage rate is decreased, but has special rare forageables only found during frostfall
-rivers & lakes are frozen, and can be walked over & carts can pass over them. can be broken open with a pickaxe, but will refreeze within a few hours. Fish traps are still functional. frozen water can be built upon, but anything built upon it will be destroyed completely upon the end of the season.
-Braziers & torchposts consume more ammo and are slightly weaker.

Harvest/Golden Moon - The sacred moon. Counterpart to the blood moon, Prayer in church may increase the chance of it happening, or even turn a blood moon into a harvest moon.

- Lasts 1 day, like the blood moon.
- Peacetime, Pilgrims cannot attack or kill each other or raid bases during this time. Larceny can still be performed. Darkness creatures can still permakill, but animals will not attack first.
- all but the most powerful witchcraft cannot be performed during a harvest moon.
- Madness level is reduced by 2 when logged in at the beginning of a harvest moon
- Gain insanity at a greatly reduced rate, or even reduce insanity instead
- Production & crafting skills are more efficient and have a higher base success rate, crop yield is greatly increased, fruit trees will bloom & produce fruit.
- Rare forageables that can only be found in this season. May have a role in warding off curses, or be corrupted into instruments of evil.


These are just all random ideas I've thought up so far, I have no method of organization to this, lol.
