yes, i was referring to both.
and having to do a task that reduces insanity is a chore.... if i mine/smelt and then feel like digging.... i should be able to go dig with out having to study/sharpen sticks first... or every time i find a lost colony... witch is what im having to do right now because im trying to rebuild since my village is one of the villages darwoth wrecked.
and the fact that there is no meter or any thing to SHOW that you gained insanity "once studying blood shards before I was aware those raise your insanity" makes it that much more of a chore... because you have to memorize what adds and what subtract insanity... but you have no idea how much.
and if any one figures out the values the devas said they will change the values to intentionally ***** with the data players gathered....
There has been no data to gather so far. However the words "tiny", "small amount", "good bit", "great deal", and "huge amount" were used in the original insanity post.
It took me 14 logs to gain a single madness level when the patch was first released. basing that off of a 100 point system on the first madness level that comes out to 7.14 points of madness each rotten log opened with a gnome inside. So from there I would say "good bit" means 7.14 so "small amount is probably 3, tiny is probably 1, great deal is probably 10 or 15 where huge amount is probably about 25. That is how I have always thought of it. So by that logic it should take about 34 wringing of the necks of squirrels or turkey to gain one level of madness or smelling about 4 satin salts.
I killed about 40 squirrels the other day and never gained a madness level. Killed a squirrel cooked one pine nut killed a squirrel cooked a pine nut. Worked fine for me. BTW squirrel meat no longer regains nuts & seeds.
