need help with claims

me and my friend just started to play few day's ago. one day ago we bought a first piece of claimed land. actually he bought it. after a brief struggle we set the permits so i can walk on his land, but today when i loged on i can still walko on land but i can't build anything on it. is there a way to set a claim so we can build on it together? please help and sorry for my bad english

There is. There are few permissions he can give you. Trespassing, theft and vandalism. He can choose what will he allow you to do at his claim stone.

Note that, iirc, "vandalism", "waste" or however it is called, will allow you to build on his claim.
If you have all rights, you can do all things on his claim, except managing the claim, this can only be done by the owner.
You can as well pay the upkeep without being the claim owner.

And to finish out the explanation...Theft allowed with let you take things out of containers and take containers off of the claimed land. I don't think theft is needed to pick up a container and place it back down on the claimed land but maybe so.
