Quote of the year.

If you even attempt to defend your town against players like Darwoth and Co (Actually giving him credit here), you will be doing more harm to yourself than what is about to happen. You would be better off grabbing what you can and legging it and hoping for the best, rebuilding like you suggested, but without bothering to defend.

can i ask how a character with 300~ in all biles standing behind brickwalls filled with braziers/torches could not scare off darwoth with constant brazier/torch spam and spamming him with stuns and polearm hits, even with abuse of mechanics (wich we leave out here since its unproven atleast out of the authority abuse) he should/could not be undefeatable.. right?

Oh god you are actually using a polearm outside the arena??? Looooooool

Why would Darwoth raid you?

HolyLight wrote:Its the same with TBC and how people made elaborate designs (That the devs could make impossible) to basically make you drop more scents if you try to stop it. yea good in theroy sloppy implimentation.

Don't be crimes.

The point is, its not worth even Defending your town anymore. unless you and your town members own an army of alts, the game forces you to have armys of combat alts to fight armys of combat alts because armys of combat alts.

HolyLight wrote:The game becomes very boring and repetitive once you hit a specific point, nothing has really changed if you look at the grand scope of things, except the game now requires you to have / control more alts than you needed before, and raiding is reserved for the novalifers who can churn out the alts in question.

Maybe you two should start a town together with the town's warcry being, "We will destroy Darwoth's fun." That sounds to me like it erases your biggest complaints.

This isn't directed at you necessarily. The most hardcore complainers about this seems to me to be coming from a place of "I want to dominate a game by putting less effort in than others," and "I've been playing for a long time, and I am bored, and I don't know how to design a goal and achieve it, and I want to play this game, but not this game, that game, but I'm still going to play this game. I know what I want to change, but I can't do it. Me and a thousand players think Darwoth is too strong, but we don't realize that we can maybe do something or at least try. That might be fun, or no I'll just complain that there's no fun. Hey noob, this game is hard, get over it. I don't like Darwoth, but if I try I might lose something. I don't like this game, I want to play this game."

Maybe that's too harsh or simple, but from my noob perspective, that's what I see often.

Question: You're in a town. You're several people against Darwoth or whoever. Why don't you kill or scare off the raiders and destroy the waste claim? You'd be safe to log off for another day then and they might not come back at all.

Because in the past players like darwoth designed waste claims in a way that if you attempt to break them you leave scents yourself for the person who was attacking you in the first place to use a TBC ?

Did i miss something? Was this changed ?
Just like they designed TBC's in a way that if you attempt to knock it down, all you do is leave more scents.
Really pointless system? Its why no one really does crimes, UNLESS you play 24/7 and have alts you can toss away like candy to kids on halloween.

I really need to stop using Darwoth as an example, but its hard.

EDIT:
Why would Any of us KILL one of darwoths & co's ALTS, Just to leave a long term scent for them to use b/s TBC's to kill us?

Are you, the devs, really that nieve to see it what is happening?

Trismegistus wrote:Why would Darwoth raid you?

You tell me?

Trismegistus wrote:Don't be crimes.

People who have never left scents, yet are under siege will be forced to do crimes/leave scents to remove the TBF if set up in the correct way. (Unless they changed it, Did i miss more patch notes?) Just like they do with TBC's. Also, Why should Crimes and raiding only be reserved for those who can play 24/7 and churn out alts?

You do not know what you are talking about really, we will leave it at that.
