Co-op Hunting

Postby Penge567 » Mon Sep 14, 2015 6:33 am

It would be nice to be able to go hunting with friends and not have to worry about accidentally hitting each other. A "friendly fire" toggle would be a nice addition, especially for newer players that can't kill big game by themselves.

This would kill most "cunning" elements of the game so nope.

Remember you aren't safe anywhere etc.

I bet Harry Whittington wished he had a friendly fire toggle when he went hunting with ***** Cheney.

reminds me of when 50 druids would stand on top of each other in shadowbane casting the same two AE spells over and over, ***** that no halberd piles.

It wasn't even my idea, my neighbor commented on it saying that she was bored of hunting deer by herself and I offered to post it because I agreed. I can kill big game myself, I just thought this would encourage more co-op, but that's stupid. Get over yourself man, if you don't like an idea, just say so, you don't have talk **** about the player themselves.

Hunting can be cooperative, you just need to lean how to fight without hitting your allies(i.e. suck less). Hunting in groups is even fairly common, with some more experienced players, as many of the more powerful creatures are significant quicker and safer to take down if you have a hunting party.

Hunting in groups is very much possible and happens all the time.

This was actually my suggestion. I was quite bored while hunting game and randomly mentioned to Penge how it would be more fun to hunt in groups but that with the ability to hit one another it was hardly worth the effort. So I solo hunt, but find it exceptionally boring (then again, I'm grinding for a two certain items). As for there already being hunting parties, I was unaware. I'm mostly a hermit, minus chatting with Penge from time to time and a few trades here and there, so I haven't run into anyone who's bothered to hunt together.

one of the critical parts of PvP Combat is enemies hitting each others, groups would nullify that part of reason why it wont and cant ever happen.
