Metal Chest

Of course, it would be bad if you could use the by-far-most-HP-ingame-object as as flexible wall-augmentation, so I understand as it is now, you can carry it when not empty.
But that alone voids all the purpose and cost of it.

The leanto gives a good idea about how to solve it.

Idea:
- make metal chest immovable when not-empty, again
- make it so that you can walk through the metal chest, like it is for a leanto
If that is doable without too much effort, and without unintentionally enabling to stack metal chest into each other like logs, then this would be a good solution.

Sounds really dumb and terrible.

I think being able to move through the chests would feel really weird, but mechanically/balance-wise it makes good sense.

no it doesn't. other people are successfully using these to make their valuables much harder to steal, you can do the same if you put a little thought into it. they are working fine now i can't dump them into rivers anymore, and would be ridiculously OP if changed as you suggest. not to mention it would seem very odd to walk through them.

if the chests are used properly it is near impossible to steal them or from them, this thread is retarded.
