Its funny when people I considered knowledgeable about the mechanics are obviously not as knowledgeable as I had once assumed. I will not say much but I believe the reason you are not seeing grief posts or much information about what is going happening on popham is because no one wants to show their hand. If you have Royal Flush you do not show it. Know the clowns earlier that showed the cannon saying F*** this PClaim in general. That was an opportunity for some drama but like I said if you have a Royal Flush you do not show it until all the chips are on the table. Popham is exciting to me so far and well balanced in my opinion. Just wait for all the fun drama after its over.

There is A LOT of drama that never gets posted on here unfortunately. This leads people to think that towns can not be taken which is 100% false. You will however need to invest a day to do just this.

Yep. Time is as valuable of a resource as any other waste claim, cannon, or silver.

While it sounds casual, that is what an expedition is intended for, we are in for the thrill not so much for the grind and i think it would work better to attract players in exp than not being able to build walls

i am not sure just a x2 would be enough... and some other changes would have to be made to keep the server on an even playing field.
if we just increased the values of every thing then the people who play all day every day would advance so fast that the player gap would be HUGE.
say some thing like a 500 bile char vs 50 bile char with in a week.

gluttony timers would have to be revamped and/or the potions to take time off taken out of this server.
also insperation would probably have to be completely separated from black bile... maybe have a set max amount that doesn't change and resets to full each day.

if JC could manage to balance those out then i think increasing char growth by around x5 and lower CDs on some of the building/crafting and increase the drop rates for foragables and logs... as well as adding a bonus to a lot of the things like lighting coal clamps and dropping a log on a saw buck... and maybe tweak the RNG on how often you get an extra iron bar... and nerf the fail rate on steel bars.

??? Gluttony foods were changed at the beginning of the expedition. There are now a couple food combinations that work far better than hey let me eat a ton of deviled beaver and wonder why I have a 7 day timer afterwards. There are situations where you can do 3 point sessions every 20-30 minutes and make a lot of progress and other situations where you can do much larger sessions that give you a 1 day timer but still lead to big gains. I hate to say it but during expedition I learned, taught, and mostly was taught a lot of things that allow for faster progression. I think the server probably has another couple months in it at leas now... I think a 5 month go at the game is good enough for a high competition where there are few winners and lots of whiners. Hopefully those who played on the expedition and left have already decided to move to providence or keep going on popham and providence in the future. Besides if you hit the inheritance statue more frequently them myself then you are probably going to end up with a really damn good character at the end of it.

these changes are all well and good for the MAIN server...
you seem to have missed the part about increasing values on the temp server.

for example... these foods you are talking about... with values increase some one could sit online all day increasing his biles 2 or 3 points every 5 or so minutes... in a 12HR time spent online some one would have about 430 biles.
again some one doing this would be able to get to a very high bile level compared to some one that is only online for about 6 hours each day.

so i was suggesting that the gluttony system would have to be changed or altered on the temp server to only allow some one to get about 20-30 biles a day so every one no matter how much time spent online stay about the same playing field.

ideally:
50 biles fist day of new char
about a week to get to 200-250 biles
about a month to get to 400 biles
and then after that maybe a bile a day... so by the 6 month end of the server a char that didn't die would have about 525 biles...ish.

You have no idea what you are talking about and have a fundamental misunderstanding of how biles work and progress.

i have re-read my posts and am still not sure how people are not able to grasp what i am saying....

we are NOT talking about the CURRENT bile system on the MAIN server.
we are talking about increasing values for FASTER growth, foraging and growth on the TEMP expedition server.

No, I understand what youre saying.
What I'm saying is that what you are talking about makes no sense, because the progression you described doesnt follow that pattern, and happens even faster than that if you know what you are doing.

I'll elaborate slightly
- If you're playing for the whole first 12 hours and are not at 50 biles, youre doing it wrong.

- While possible to get 200 to 250 biles in a week, it would be extremely expensive due to the lack of dry boards

- Once you have dry boards, your gluttoning skyrockets, and you can easily get far past 400 in a month.

- If you're only at 525 biles when the server ends, it's because you actively chose to stop there, likely to pump out 200 bile throwaway alts like candy instead.

you are basing this off MAIN server values and foods.

im talking about being able to get to 50 biles your first day with berries and mushrooms.... with in like 20 minutes.

and as i said being able to get 1 bile per day for about 6 months would be able 500 biles.... or should be on this other server.
