I was wondering that too a while back, I wonder if there is a slightly higher chance of a rare fine leather spawn with higher concentrations of tanning solution? Probably not, I'm guessing it means nothing anymore.

It used to mean Purity. I think higher concentrations do nothing now but waste your brains.
