Help, Help, My Livestock Died!

Postby MarpTarpton » Wed Jul 08, 2015 11:52 am

Hello,

If you have experienced SLDS (Sudden Livestock Death Syndrome), symptoms of which include the animal dying without showing signs of illness, please post here describing the event and, if possible, show the pedigree bars so we can investigate the possibility of a bug.

Known list of bugs animal-related:

Sometimes baby goats and baby cows drop pig snouts, pork racks, hams, and other pig-related items when butchered.
Sometimes if you gather lard a pig, it gives lard. If you click gather lard again, the pig disappears.

And with a wave of his wand the livestock stood still.

A baby animal died.
A person came up to it to Pedigree and it just vanished leaving only bones after itself. I think it was at around +- the change of the seasons.
Sadly no pedigree bar of it. But I think the first 3 bars were high and most of the last bars were low.

That person hit butcher instead of pedigree.

Wouldn't that yield at least something like meat or brains?

Not unless they have the proper livestock skill.

I butchered a goat baby in popham and got a brain and 1 ham. And I don't have pig keeping.
Other people who butchered it probably got more meat pieces.

If you butchered a goat and got a ham something is VERY wrong.

That were my first thoughts. But I've seen baby pigs, also seen one just before that situation and those two didn't look the same.
