You mean the same way we always used to get unstuck when perma-aggroed by animals, most commonly argos? Nowai, surely you jest kind sir!

But yeah perhaps a worthy thing to be looked into :P

It's quite the situation Claeyt got himself in to, but this is not the Argopelter bug (which should be fixed now). This is something different. He lost agro when he KOed, like he's supposed to, but the bears were close enough to his leanto that they got him again every time he revived. True, going linkdead should trick the server into deloading the tile eventually and stopping the cycle just like with the argo bug, but there was no bug here. This is one of the hazards of Darkness. You can be killed PvE in Darkness; even disease and, to some extent, Witchcraft originate in Darkness. No decent Pilgrim should ever homestead there on a whim; doing so risks horrible things happening to their character such as death or the ruination of proficiencies.

it's most likely your own mistake. and not really something devs should help with.

Any KO loop is sort of game breaking but it's fine, I was able to just crash the client and it logged me off eventually.

Funny thing is... we decide what is or is not game-breaking.

Not sure I'd consider any of it game breaking, but it is very harsh. Getting ping-ponged between two bears is probably not the absolute worst thing that can ever happen, either.

Huehue, Ping-Ponged.. ¦]

Anyways,
I honestly dont think this could be considered game-breaking, if it was then you could also say that having a bat attached to your neck the instant it spawns from mining is gamebreaking, because if your low-bile like i was when i first started, you get KOd almost instantly, and when you wake up at your leanto you get KOd again, no idea wtf is going on because you didn't see the bat spawn and have no idea how to get it off, took me a good 5 KOs and a panicked search through the forums to find out what was happening, good times..

But, its not gamebreaking, its just really bad luck, and a learning experience. I learned not to mine as low bile noob, and to always get ready to stomp a bat. You learned not to go to far into the darkeness and ***** with darkenbears. ¦]

if you had a bed, you could try to insta-logoff to save from bears while they have not yet agroed again. Or do they insta-aggro?

KO loops of any kind should be a bug in my opinion, it's very immersion breaking.

A KOed character should just stay on the floor until enough time has passed for it to get back up on its own (no teleport) or until another pilgrim helps you out by sending you home with the normal teleport timer. Getting up shouldn't be automatic either.

Only exceptions to automatic teleport being if the location you're in ceases to exist somehow or if you're on a hostile claim and you've waited out the usual timer there.

Make an idea thread for that, sounds interesting. It would be an extremely large change though.. don't get upset if its shot down.
