Madness is rly buged...

i sleep 16+ hours in bed (with Teddy Bear) when i log in = madness = 0 ...

play 20 minutes and next seeds fields... and i got 1 madness...

IS joke ? ...

Perhaps the teddy only reduces madness and not also insanity. If your insanity was already high, ready to tick into a new level of madness, maybe you just went up another level. It also really depends on what you've been doing for the 20 minutes. I'm sure there are things you could've done to get another level from scratch.

When you remove a level next time go do some whittling. Try to mix up your tasks dont do the same thing over and over again.

Also new one I just learned. Training with the same item over and over in a brute force seems to give insanity.

From no insanity or madness I trained about 7 stacks of singing old logs and gained a level of madness.

Also experienced this yesterday, character had slept 4 hours in a bed, short playtime after waking up and madness poffed up by one (worst luck as it was while preparing the inspirationals I wanted to use to level up proficiencies, lol). Made me suspicious about whether the leafy bed actually lowers insanity at all.

When you lose a madness lvl you DO NOT lose insanity.

Like Dallane said, reducing madness does nothing with insanity, and the beds only reduce Madness now. They once reduced insanity, but after numerous complaints, we changed that to reducing Madness every 8 hours with a teddy bear because no one appreciated our awesome Tobacco mechanic. :(

If tobacco had a 100% chance to reduce madness it would be useful for noobs and veterans but since it sucks ass and teddy bear combined with hookah does a better job (100% chance to reduce madness) tobacco is useless.

But seriously, i haven't had any issue gaining/losing madness/insanity.

First day of play i farmed enough silver to buy a teddy from the vendor, i gained a madness level because i was on for 20+ hours straight, slept for 8 hours with a teddy in a leafy bed, no madness. Haven't gained a madness level since..

Nope never even noticed it until I was locked in the stockade and sick really. That ended in death this morning so no big deal. Madness not an issue.
