It can be fixed with some registry editing. Remove the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/JavaSoft/Prefs/haven/salem/namefilt
You somehow managed to enter an invalid string (most likely too long) into the filter textbox.
edit: on a related note, I just had a client hang myself. Managed to attach a debugger, and it seems the Haven UI thread is dieing when it shouldn't be. Still no clue what causes it, though (distinct from the freeze issue with Ender's gobpaths that he fixed a while ago).
