this is as lobotomized as jack Nickolson at the end of the movie

You think the countries that you mention are in a mess because of socialism ? you also imply that each state is a closed system ?
edit: erased cursing , i feel better now

What are you talking about? I never said that Socialism contributed to their problems.Pildream wrote:

so bringing example of some countries with "free economy" being better than others less fortunate , does not present any proof of one ideology being better than the other.
Capitalism is global and constantly struggling to destroy all opposition, not like a conspiracy theory, its systemic

They are also some of the most capitalist counties and have the most economic freedom.Claeyt wrote:DarkNacht wrote:Let look at the places with the highest levels of economic freedom: Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, and Canada. You realize that you just named some of the most Socialist countries on the planet right? Hong Kong is actaully within a nominally Communist country. New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland and Canada are all Socialist countries.
Not all Socialism is Democratic-Socialism. Socialism can exist in many types of political systems including Theocracies and Dictatorships. In fact Socialism is very common in Theocracies and Dictatorships as it is a great way to placate the masses.Claeyt wrote:DarkNacht wrote:Now lets look at the lowest: North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, Eritrea, Equatorial Guinea, Turkmenistan, Iran, and Congo. None of these are Socialist countries. North Korea and Cuba are communist dictatorships. The rest of them are a mix of Theocracies and Dictatorships. Maybe you don't understand but Socialism generally implies that it's a democracy today. I don't think you understand the difference between Socialism and Communism. Cuba and Venezuela are actually pretty nice to visit on vacation. Thousands of Europeans go to Cuban beaches.
Canada and Hong Kong are much more of a Socialist system of government than any of these countries you just named, unless you equate Communist Dictatorships with Socialism.
