There will be events, stalls, and other mechanics to seed things that don't exist in the server.

ShadowTani wrote:Exactly how will the animals transfer from expeditions? They'll just become available in Providence in the same way they are in expeditions once expeditions is over(?) or you will have to ship them or something before the apocalypse? I guess it maybe will be obvious once the expedition launches, but I'm impatient and curious. Also, is a detail that will contribute to my decision to team up with a town or not. And would appreciate being able to make any such deal before the expeditions actually kicks off.

Also, I assume the cannon skill will only be an expedition thing?

We are currently leaning towards animals being shipped home to providence at the conclusion of the server.

alloin wrote:How are shop packs being handled in expeditions? Can you buy packs for the expedition server? If so, will we be able to bring them to the original server?

It is our intention that you will be able to use the cash shop on the expedition. We have no plans for anything to come home from it though so anything bought there you may only keep using so long as you keep the expedition from ending.

Arkadion wrote:I see we can already learn the skills for growing different animals! I haven't searched for long, but does that mean we'll have animals here on Providence soon and not just on expeditions, or they are just added up for teasing/testing?

I am allowing Expedition skills and content to be added to providence so that the people of providence have something to do and advance towards while they wait for the expedition to end.

alloin wrote:But if someone on the expedition server can only be safe for +/- 12-24h even with walls, why would one buy shop packs if they will get stolen within 24h anyway?

Because one would be confident in their ability to keep said goods and defend said town with active players. Those who are too 'concerned' with this shouldn't be there in the first place and should be playing on Providence. Expeditions will be full of loss and castastrophes.

ericbomb wrote:Will t3 witches who pray at a statue leave scents so we can launch a counter attack against the heathen?

No. it is your job to stop them from getting access to the statue in the first place.

ericbomb wrote:I'm guessing a t3 witch will require an item from the darkenbear, will it be just as strong on the expedition server? How many people do you think will be needed to beat the devil?

Darkenbear is already being killed on Providence.

ericbomb wrote:So are cannons able to do damage without a waste claim to towns?

Still ironing out details.

ericbomb wrote:If I buy a shop pack on the expedition server, can I bring it home at the end? Or will buying a shop pack for provi get me a second expedition only pack?

No. All store items will be lost if the expedition ends. IF you would like to keep your store items then you should stop the witches from bringing forth the apocalypse.

ericbomb wrote:Will the location of the statues be obvious, or will it be a manner of riding around like a mad man on giant crickets looking for them?\

Their location will not be public knowledge when the expedition starts.

ericbomb wrote:Will one of them get rid of the F&F timer?

You must wait and see.

Zennoya wrote:1. If only new chars can join expeditions, how is witchcraft solved? No old witches = noone to make Lizbeth dolls = no witches at all. Will there be some doll givaway to random people or some event, or some random finds of dolls, or some stall with dolls?

We will seed it again and probably make it easier.

Zennoya wrote:2. As i understand correctly statues arent protected from pclaims/tclaims in any way, so best way to protect server from apocalypse is to form towns around the statues, wall them up, build churches around, and hunt anyone that left scent to get to that statue before he reaches next two?

Yep. That sounds like a good way to keep the expedition going.

Zennoya wrote:3. Will be any of those statues located inside darkness ?

Their locations will not be announced before the expedition. One must go out and find them :).

Heffernan wrote:so... can players overclaim these statues with pclaims or vclaims?

No, But one may certainly build a town "Around" them.

Potjeh wrote:How will we obtain all the stuff that was introduced via the seasonal stall (onions, fruit, etc.)?

We are working on ways to seed everything now.

Aw, would definitively been nice to be able to ship other stuff too and not just the animals. I'm sure that would encouraged more people to use the item shop. Either way, would also loved to see purity affecting inspirationals - for the expedition server only.

How would you even propose this to be possible? There are quite literally hundreds of inspirationals that have materials required with no purity on them? As for shipping other things home, it is not the intention that players use the expedition as some 'funnel' of items. If you want to keep using your store stuff, make sure the server doesn't end. If you don't want to use your store stuff anymore, help end it. You cannot get the best of both worlds where you help end the server AND keep your store stuff.

Dilligence Statue Added

The tenet of Diligence.

What are we if not vessels to work and be worked? Idle hands lead only to sin, and so it is the busy worker who is most devout. It is he who cannot spare a passing moment to thoughts of dark things, lustful things, heinous and blasphemous things, who finds himself in grace. Reap the wheat, shuck the corn, tend the fields, mend the cloth, carve the wood, but whatever you do, do not fail to do.

Praying to the Statue of Diligence will make you more efficient at working, permanently adding +3 to ALL proficiencies..

Once they come back from expeditions, they'll be available for buying, selling, trading, stealing, whatever, from other players. But you know that's going to mean you have to wait even longer, and you won't have the experience of working with the mechanic.
