The numbers are down because of every patch so far have added some retarded mechanic to make people waste time doing irrelevant / boring stuff.

It's possible the decline is related to the time of year. At least in the USA, schools of all levels are graduating. So you have alot of travel with computers packed up etc going on.

Over the years, Summer numbers have been down compared to winter. At this moment we're almost hitting 800 which is maybe 50 or so down for a normal Friday night. I think Darwoth's right that the afk's and afk's in the stocks are down significantly. I think the crashes with the Patch hurt a bit. I think that also the Blood moon today hurt some. I also think that we had some rage quitters who quit over the Insanity Patch after getting a madness level and losing a shovel or an inventory. Anyways we almost hit 800 today which isn't that far down.

800 is quite down, before the insanity patch we were almost touching 900 daily (i think we even went over 900 a few timeS)

Now we are not even reaching 800, thats almost -100 dailys since insanity Or -11.2%

Yeah, I know. But our average was around 860-870 daily with more on the weekends. We'll see. I don't think we're in "Purity Hummus Patch" area yet.

Also it's still like 2-3 times what we had last summer.

Actually the 10 tobacco i blew didnt drop my madness, it had nothing to do with the progress bar updating, i dropped it easy enough with 16 hours sleep with a teddy.

the reason "sleeping with a teddy works just fine" is because you are doing exactly that (logging in fresh), otherwise you would be ***** about how you made 20 teddy bears stuffed with tobacco and they don't work.

Also, fun fact, if you try to smoke at 0 madness it will give you a system message letting you know you are at the lowest level of madness. Another fun fact: the lower you are to 0 madness, the harder it is to remove a madness level by smoking.
