For example humus could lower upkeep instead of increasing speed or influence?

I know, its rubbish, wood chips are one of the easiest things to obtain so the fact that we now HAVE to spend time getting them is just annoying rather than rewarding. Turkey Poop, whilst not hard to produce requires more infrastructure and planning to have the right amount for our fields, it feels rewarding having it reduce upkeep. I have also noticed that whilst 3 humus followed by 1 wood chip removes the 5% upkeep like always, but if you use just TWO fertile turkey poop followed by wood chips you only get -4% upkeep, so I guess fertilisers affect the potency of following fertilisers. I wonder if there is a "best" order. I would be happy if hay had a base -5% upkeep, and if humus had a base even as low as -1% on top of its current stats.

That would explain why using bonemeal after first fertile turkey poop added only 33% plenty instead of 50%
But then again using second turkey poop, after the first one adds 45% speed and 30% plenty, so maybe some fertilizer components are affected in different way

This is just an idea but you should probably have a threshold such that novice people will not be crippled by blood moon. For example a char that has been online for <10 hours would see less effects of insanity (and other penalties) from blood moon than a player with 20+ hours would, and you stack effects per 10 hours played. (And cap that limit). It would be a good way to ensure that new players are discomforted by the blood moon but do not lose a whole character to the madness (and thus get turned off by the game). While it is true that this game is not for everyone, it takes time for new players to see its full potential and how fun/abusive it can be, and it would be sad to see them leave before realizing this (or before you can harvest some of their tears/rage). It would also make sense game wise as characters that have been online for a long time have seen some "crazy" **** and are more likely to be of frail mental condition held together by tobacco and drugs.

This is a fair request and a very similar outlook on things to what we normally have. Blood moons are quite rare and difficult though and so it seems wroth it to turn the world on its head 1-2 times a month.

If you would have 5 levels of insanity. From 1-2 to 0 even the best tobacco is not always helpful

Not going to lie, I wish there had been more talk about this mechanic before it was released, not a few weeks before I dropped a couple hundred dollars on this game, and I haven't touched it since because none of my guild will play with me. Pretty ******.

Ive played almost non stop since the blood moon, maybe a few hours offline max, and i have not raised a single madness level (almost 20 hours stright gameplay).

Just spread your inspritional usage throughout your gameplay, seems to have solved my problem entirely.
