The timer for porting is enough for a #2. let alone a quick pee.

Ummm......

Come on now, most people at least have to pee every 4 hours or so.

No you can not chance the splash. That is why you keep socks laying around.

Why do you need an external timer? Do you honestly sit in a chair at your computer for hours and hours on end with no break at all? Every hour or so, when you take a break to stretch, study a few inspirationals to get a proficiency point when you come back. It's in your best interests to keep slowly learning each day anyway to keep your inspiration from topping off and being wasted.

If you're not doing anything to actively increase your insanity, you can go something like 4 hours with no insanity reducing actions. That's a very long time. And if you're actively increasing your insanity, then it's going to be on your mind to decrease it again. No silly timers needed.

Personally, I like that I can lick the mold off moldy boards and then learn a proficiency, and then restore a few more boards. I never needed so many wood chips that moldy boards were good to keep around, and it always seemed such a waste.

Yes I do spend more than 4 hours at a time. After making dinner I sit down and login at about 6pm and play till about 2-4am in the morning. my normal activities in game revolve around paving mining filling smelters building walls. I normally when I login round up inspirations to increase my skills and use up all of inspiration pool.

I still think that tobacco farming way too far advanced for beginning players and will cripple any new servers or possibly the new Expedition system. Are you really gonna force people farm silver by finding savage charms and the like just to sell and pay for shredded tobacco penalizing people who enjoy playing the game.

I think you guys need a visual or auditory cue for say when your about to gain a level of madness if you don't want to directly add a bar for insanity. Because frankly I've stopped playing until I see a insanity bar available on Ender's client or any other client for that matter.

my apologies. I did not know anything about such activities till playing this game. Did not even think of my own sanity till this patch forced me to.

you will be waiting for a while then.

JohnCarver wrote:You are not intended to have a meter on the 'small' gains of insanity in your day to day life, as this is not meant to be some bar that consumes your every moment and is constantly on your mind. In fact, I purposely designed the system so that the server does not even communicate your insanity levels to the client thus Ender and Kandarim cannot save you! Instead, I only update your clients to their 'madness level' when you do indeed gain one (needs a minor fix atm because its not remembering inbetween logouts so if you log on later you'll have to gain a madness level before your masks update, however, the voices are just as good an indicator imo). Anyways, the IDEA here is that you play salem for (3) 8 hour play sessions. Then on your 4th 8 hour play session you sit down and notice that your masks are starting to look a little bit bad and the voices are every 30 seconds to 2 minutes now. On that 25th hour of play time you decide "hey I should spend an hour or so getting some tobacco and calming all this madness off". Depending on the 'hassle' that crafting a pipe and finding tobacco turned out to be, you may change your play habbits slightly to make sure you toss in 5 minutes of 'calming' actions for every 2-3 hours of neutral ones, or 5 minutes of 'calming' actions for every half hour of insanity buildings ones etc. etc.
