I think its a good mechanic personally in a game where control over others is standard feature this allows people to make sure their enemies cannot leave town.

I know I like the idea of giving my last attacker some grief.

Its all really just about choices. You can port 5 times as often, if you choose a good place and time to port. It's not an escape, just like ninja logging, they were people using gameisms to their advantage to avoid game play. Example. ..wandered too close to a town. .Oh crap its not abandoned, they see me. ... Pre-patch you could log or dump inventory and port...now you have to accept your the consequences of your choices. You might be able to log out port still but it's a hell of a lot less casual now. ..lol

I hear all these comments about people running into others in the wilderness and being afraid of being killed or near a town and they see you. I never run into other people. I was by the KKK town outside of providence for 2 hours yesterday hunting logs to gain some madness and never even ran into a person... Is it that common to run into people and I am just unlucky or is it just uncommon but happens? Sorry if that derailed conversation.

This sums it up rather nicely. It is one of our primary concerns that players experience raw emotion when playing our games. As such, the 'fear' of coming up an on unknown village is VERY real, especially if you are on a main character. Being able to have the security of just dropping all your goods and porting was simply providing too large of a safety net.

You should change is so when outside of your village / in the wilderness, the teleportation/log out timers are massivly increased.

The wait timer is a pain in the ass imho. I understand your objections for when you are out and about exploring, but not when you are in 100% safty. Then make is so that when you are inrange of your leanto you can do faster travel, maybe reduce the timers. Make is so Wilderness teleport > home / providance = 40/60seconds, then at your leanto > providance = instant/5/10 seconds, then traveling home from providance = 20/30 seconds or something.

The teleport timer getting home is meh, as i am sure i will have fun pushing people this weekend as well LOL.

Changing whole game teleportation times AGAIN, due to wilderness / exploring / pvp mechanics is annoying.

EDIT: Just save us all these problems, and remove teleportation and make player built fast travel systems ONLY, requiring very expensive large village structures, and a 60seconds "fast travel" time when using them.

Teleport timers are going to change for a 3rd time once persistent horses are in as well :).

Should we move all the events up to lv 3-4 insanity and higher?
Maybe some people like hearing voices but not doing mad things.
You thought I quit.
